I am trying to create a user account in windows xp embedded (maxbook) but the
net.exe command does not work. Does anyone now an other way to create a user
account?

Make sure that the net.exe componet (under Software\System\Networking &
Communications\Applications\Net.exe) is included. I've used this to make and
control user accounts without a problem.

What do you mean by "net.exe command does not work"? Is net.exe not present
or is it giving an error message?

You could also use the local user manager (lusrmgr.msc) or the friendly user
