I had XP installed (non network) and crashed the boot. Put a new HD in and loaded XP onto it so I would not overwrite the data on the old drive. Problem is, now some of the files on the old drive are giving me an "access denied" message.

So I found some instructions stating to go to the higher folder and click tools, view, and uncheck "use simple file sharing". The problem is, I don't have that as an option to uncheck.

Any insight from any experts as to how I can get access to this folder? It's got my old mailbox on it and I hate to lose it if I can get to it somehow. I also tried doing the above in safe mode, still no option under folder views.
