New comuter, Fresh XP home install.

First account I made has sound. Second account does not?

I did not do anything or change any settings other than make the second account.

Is this common?

Can you see the speaker icon on your second account? If not, try install the audio driver manually.

Seems like I found the problem. My on board sound was not disabled and apparently my Sound Blaster sound card had a conflict.

I have plugged in to the on-board sound and now have sound in all my accounts.

When I have time I'll disable the on-board sound and try my sound card again.
