Hi Everyone,
I've just bought a second hand XP home system with a Packard Bell tower and would like to change the systems name to my own but don't have a re-install disk. What do I need to do?

You can manage your accounts with "User Accounts" in control panel. To change your current user name, in the Window "User Accounts", select your current account name and click "Change Name".

Hi winxpuser,
Thanks for the reply but have already changed the user account and this still does not get rid of a lot of the info stored in documents and settings by the previous owner (any help there). Am unable to erase anything linked to the previous owner and am unable to rename the folder as the computer says that the info stored in document and settings is used by the system bootup.
