Help Needed Desperately - Please and Thank You! |
|
|
All of our photos have disappeared. They were stored under My Pictures. No
one has deleted them, I just went to print one out and they were all gone. I
have installed McAfee antivirus and Microsoft Beta 1 spyware. As suggested
by a friend, I restored the system to a previous date before the photos
disappeared and the only one that came back was the one used as my wallpaper.
I have a done the search several times, to no avail. It has also been
suggested that I attempt retrieving them from the hard drive, which I know
nothing about. Can someone please help??

Note: WinXP System Restore will not
recover personal files.
Is your My Pictures folder empty? Or do
you find files that you cannot open?
Is it possible that the image files were
accidentally moved to a different location?
Does searching for .jpg find anything?
If your files were accidentally deleted, it's
possible that you may be able to recover
them from your hard drive with the free
program at the following link.
PC Inspector File Recovery

Here's another program that may
be useful but it's not free:
Restorer 2000

Good luck.

I would like to add another utility in the list. Its Stellar Phoenix Digital Media Recovery - Photo Recovery Software recover lost, deleted and formatted digital pictures, music files on removable media, after an accidental deletion, media format or corrupt media.
It can help you to recover your lost picture. |
