Alright this is a little odd so I have seen. When I setup my gateway the other way around, connection 1 computer ethernet to the router and setup the wireless card as an adhoc, I can connect useing my wireless card in my notebook just perfectly and everything works great! Now when I connect wireless to my router with my desktop, and setup a gateway and connect ethernet to my desktop from my notebook my conection fades in and out *only on my notebook* my connection to my router from my desktop is about as good as it gets, and while I have my little brother play a few games and what not on the desktop, with a perfectly fine running conection, I cannot move a thing on my notebook. Even at a stand still on my desktop so I know its just not using all the bandwidth my connection on my notebook fades in
and out constantly. They are both Windows XP Pro, and both fully updated with no bs running, no firewalls, not even virus protection trying to figure this problem out. My connection stays on my notebook, I just lose all ability to get to the internet speradically, and then a minute later its back again. I talked to a few people before concerning this problem, and they said they all had the same issue when they tried to setup a gateway under xp to share a wireless internet connection.

Does anyone have any idea why this is? or do you have a solution for it?

Don't worry I am no idiot I have my ip's set correct and my DNS servers.
These are also fresh clean installs of xp pro, so I am certain its not a virus. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
