On one particular external PC running XP/SP2, a User connects to their PC at
work and enters their Username/Password for their Work PC. The connection
fails and the logs are telling me that the Username/Password entered are the
Username/Password of the external PC, not the one they entered trying to log
on to local host, like it's using cached credentials instead of those
programmed or entered. This happens when the client logs into the LAN via VPN
and also happens when the client logs into the domain as a web-client, then
tries to access her work computer.

How do I prevent the external PC from using cached credentials, enable it to
use the stored credentials in the MSTSC.EXE only. The Work PC is properly
configured and other external PCs have no problems connecting and logging on
to it.

So in simple terms you are saying that even though the user is logging into
the host using credentials they physically type in, they are actually
sending credentials from the remote (client) computer instead of the ones
they physically typed into the logon prompt of the host when they connected?

When you start MSTSC, can you see an "Options>>" button?
That gives you access also to "Domain" field.

Yes, this is the case. The user gets to the sign on screen, enters the
username/password for the work computer, it fails, the logs say that the user
tried logging on using her credentials for her home PC, resulting in invalid
Username/Password/Domain, logs showing the Username and Domain of the persons
home computer. The user can log into the Domain without any problems. We
attempted several step by step walkthroughs, spent hours on the phone, tried
several variations.
