I'm not sure if this is the correct newsgroup. I'm trying to create a network
between a pc and a laptop. I've followed the instructions on the Wizard and
the laptop seems to look as it should. However, the desktop shows no network
when you click "my network places" and no computers when you click "View
workgroup computers". The message I get when I click the desktop icon showing
on the "view workgroup computers" is as follows:

"Desktop is not accesible. You might not have permission to use this
network. Contact the administer of the server to find out if you have access
permissions. The network path was not found."

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Regards

Look in the list of newsgroups - there is one specifically for networks.
