USB Device not recognized, but works properly, annoying popup |

Okay this one is a problem at work, and its my company's owner's PC, so getting this fixed Toot Sweet is on the top of my "To Do" list.
Laptop
Intel Celeron M Centrino 2.0 Ghz (Single Core)
1.75 GB Ram
IBM Thinkpad (dont know model # yet, will find out)
Windows XP SP2
Its in a docking station, and the laptop has 2 usb ports on it. From one port, he has a 4 port hub attached with 2 perephials on it, so that he can have his desk sans-wires. Both of the perephials on that 4-port hub work. One is a logitech wireless keyboard/mouse combo with an unattached numeric keypad. All drivers installed from disk that came with set. The other is a GN Netcom Wireless/Handsfree headset, for our VoIP though PC telephony service. Doesn't need drivers, or at least the companies web site says so.
Out of nowhere, a windows Alert message pops up, stating that a USB device cant be recognized, and to install drivers for it. When i open the device manager, it also shows me the Unknown Device.
It states that the unknown device is coming off of the 4 port hub. It can only be either the logitech or the GnNetcom handsfree. But both work.
Help or suggestions P L E A S E.
If screen shot is wanted I could supply.
Thanks in advance |
