no photo recognition in mce 2005

I can't get mce to recognize or show any of my photos. All it shows is empty
folders even though the folders are full of jpg's.

Hmm sounds strange. Two things to check. First make sure the file
extensions read filename.jpeg. Second be certain you are looking in the
right folders because XP and MCE have too many called the same thing. It
defaults to Shared Documents\My Pictures. Maybe they are in your UserName\My
Pictures folder instead?

I assume you have already gone into My Pictures and selected Add Pictures
and pointed it to the correct file paths?

Hopefully someone else will have some additional suggestions.

Run regedit and goto
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.jpeg
add this to the right side of the page if its not there
add Content Type "image/jpeg"
PerceivedType "image"

I also tried navigating to the picture folder with the sample pictures from
microsoft that are in the shared folder and still no recognition.
