File Sharing |
|
|
Everytime someone sends me a file through MSN, like a picture for example. It
downloads fine, but then when I try to open the file, it says "windows has
blocked this as a potentially harmful file" The files i'm trying to recieve
are harmless, i know they are. How do i turn this setting off?? |

I don't know if you can turn it off (or if I'd recommend it) but if you go
to the file itself, right click on it, and select properties you will
probably see an option to "Unblock" it. Click that if you're sure the file
is safe and you should be able to open it without a problem.

Why should the majority of intelligent people who are capable of
declining a file transfer be inconvenienced because of a few monkeys
who'll accept anything? I recommend the mess.be patch if you trust
yourself... never mind anyone else on your list!

you can turn that stupid feature off with the MESS patch.
Why do I call it stupid? Because if you trust someone to have them on your
contact list
you should trust what files that person sends... or you can always scan them
with your antivirus....
go to www.mess.be and and download the mess patch from the link that is on
the right
rumn that patch and it will give you an option for tunring it off (and many
many more things)
