This miniport adapter appears to be part of Internet Protocol version 6.
I've found two methods which appear to deal with it, both are listed in this
thread:

fax
has not worked. According to the error report (error 31), there is no

installed. (What is a tun Miniport Adapter/What does it do ????)
I have tried::
::updating the modem driver
::UN-INSTALL the fax through add programs
::RE-INSTALL the fax through add programs
::ran rundll32.exe adv.....etc to run ProcessIdleTasks
::looked at the running services (SERVICES.MSC) to see if I can disable or
stop the FAX service. Says "STOPPING"
::edited the registry and removed any reference to FAX
::deleted all FXS*.* files from the system32 directory.
::remove the update (KB886185) (tun Miniport Adapter) through Add/Remove
progs. But this will remove 6/7 other updates
::
NOTHING WORKS - PLEASE HELP, I rely on the fax facility.
