Using Windows Media Encoder, I got my clip converted, but about 3/4 of
the screen is the clip, and 1/4 this vertical green box on the side??

Gotta be a way to remove that??

Is this a copy protected video by any chance?

It looks like it may either be a signal put in by the company to stop
re-recording of the show, or a seting in the capture software, can you tell
us how you captured the show, then got it on the pc.

Sure Graham...

Had the bloopers on VHS, moved them to dvd, moved that to computer,
wanted to edit but WMV wouldn't do it, so I nero'd it, then to mpeg,
then to WMRecorder. Figured it was something with Windows Media
Recorder, but can't seem to find a pull down menu to correct the green
bar.

The site where I load clips to only takes WMV cuz it's smaller and
loads faster. But in downloading like, 80s commercials from sites,
they've been converted to WMV and have no green bar, so I'm wondering
how they managed to do that.
