OK, I've read previous posts, followed the instructions, downloaded Win XP
updates, etc...STILL....

*No "Copy to Disk" in picture tasks.

No "recording" tab for my CD-RW when I do that whole thing through My
Computer.

When I try to copy the long way to the CD I get a box w/ a red X that says
"E:\ invalid or Inaccessible" or something to that extent....

I AM using the right kind of Blank CD, too.

Heeeeelp! I ffel like I've done it all!!

That message makes me think that your CD-RW has a hardware failure. Are the

cables fully seated?

When you click & open the "My Pictures" folder on the left under Picture
Tasks there should be a choice "copy to CD"; just below in the File & Folder
Tasks there is the option "Copy File". Once you have selected the pictures to
copy either of these options should work, just follow the direction. As far
as the right CD it depends what type of drive you have (CD Burner or DVD
Burner) you need a burner as a drive that just plays CD's will not allow you
to burn. Hope this helps.

I am having the exact same problem....never had this problem before. I went
to the help and support and it says to click on Copy to CD under Picture
Tasks and it is gone!! Then I get the E:\inaccessible message too. Ther eis
nothing wrong with the drive as I tried to record a music CD and that worked
fine and played CD's and DVD movies to test the drive. I think the problem
is that picture viewer or whatever it is is no longer recognizing the drive
and therefore not displaying Copy to CD. Does anyone know how to fix this
and get it to recognize the drive? I also went to Trobleshooting under
device manager and it says the drive is performiong properly Thanks, glad I
saw this post I thot I was losing my mind

Hi Jill

You are not going crazy. Exactly the same thing has happened to me today.
I do not have the Copy to Disk in my pictures menu. Called Microsoft who
told me to call Toshiba - my laptop in only 2 months old.

Seemed to be a bit of a fob off, but I'll try tomorrow.

Keep me posted.

Cheers

Kayley

I know you should get the Windows CD burning software working again but have
you tried 3rd party cd burning software? If the problem is in the Windows cd
burning software maybe installing one of these free 3rd party burning
software will help. I always had problems with the win burner and as soon as
I switched to a good 3rd party software everything worked perfectly. (I have
always thought the WIN software was a bit twitchy any way)
You can give it a try and at least you will know if the problem is in your
hardware or software.
here are 2 of the free programs
DeepBurner Free
http://www.deepburner.com/

CDBurnerXP Pro
http://www.cdburnerxp.se/

I eventually wound up paying Nero and have been very happy with it.
