I am trying to figure out why I can't play CD's that have been ripped with
Windows Media Player 10 on other CD players. It will play on some but not on
others. Any words of wisdom.

Some may be able to play wav files or mp3 files. Depends on the brand, age,
and functionality of the player itself. The best bet is to burn in true CDA
format. Such a handy type tool is built in to this application:

It may be because the music you are trying to copy is protected.Windows puts
protection on some files to stop you from coping the music and selling it.

That would only affect the ability to burn to CD in the first place. Once
it's on the CD as CD Audio, it should just work unless the CD session wasn't
closed and the playback device in question doesn't support unclosed
sessions.
