usbhub.sys causes STOP 0xA while Notebook on DC |
|
|
Hi and sorry, i wrote a similar thread times ago, but it endet in a dead way.
Here is the description: Im on a Dell Notebook with Centrino, XP Pro and SP 2.
When i switch from AC to DC i get a Bluescreen with IRQL Less or Equal.
A friendly helper here mentioned to use the verifier to determine the drivers.
There were a couple of not verified drivers, but it wasnt the problem.
Further more this PC creates minidumps of 88kb size wich are not readable
with the Debugger.
Never the less i come to a conclusion.
If i go to verifier, activated the IRQL Monitoring and add only the
USBHUB.SYS file (which is none of the unverified drivers!) and proceed i have
to reboot.
I do and switch to DC - nothing happens, no bluescreen only because of the
monitoring of the usbhub.sys. The USB mouse still works fine. It boots just
really slow, but usbhub seems to be the problem.
But how can i fix it?
I need a USBHUB.SYS which does not cause the error.
I searched for the usbhub.sys and got 7 results.
1. Windows\$NtServicePackUninstall$ Filesize 50 kb
2. Windows\ServicePackFiles\i386 Filesize 57kb
3. Windows\system32\drivers 57kb
4. Windows\system32\ReinstallBackups\0005\DriverFiles\i386 57kb
5. Windows\system32\ReinstallBackups\0006\DriverFiles\i386 57kb
6. Windows\system32\ReinstallBackups\0007\DriverFiles\i386 57kb
7. Windows\system32\ReinstallBackups\0008\DriverFiles\i386 57kb
I guess the only une used is the system32\drivers Folder, but it seems the
either
some Win Updates or the Service Pack 2 already updated it.
So what could i do? I wont use verifier all the time, its really slow now.
