document prints on back of separate page when using duplex p |

My company has a Canon Image Runner 3220. We use a third party
software--Cluster Queue--to manage print documents.
With this particular printer we have a separator page loaded, one of
the windows defaults (sysprtj.sep). However, for some reason when
using the printer for duplex print jobs, the separator page prints but
the document's first page prints on the back side of the separator
page.
Anyone have any solutions to fix the problem? Is there a way to
increase the size of the separator page to two pages?
