Hi ,
l have an external modem xp wont recognise, and loads Standard modem, also
lost net connection icon in notification window. Lots of strange things
happening, wont load System restore, add hardware, or allow to use windows
Xp repair facility on disc.
Whats happening?

If you have two 56K modems connected, your PC will not know which one
to use when you are trying to access the Internet. YOu must disable one
of them, or remove it.
