Error:3, when I try to reinstall " Nero 6" |
|
|
Good Morning my people: Well I try to reinstall Nero 6, but system popup
showing error:3 saying that system can not find patches for the following
files: DriveLocker.dll and Aiff.dll. When I searched system they are found
at: C:\Program files\commonfiles\Ahead\AudioPluging. How can I get patches
back?
P.S. Meanwhile , when I started up PC this morning , System32 folder
window was opened automatically. Why?
My regards , Gabriel |

The first error is a Nero install issue. I will say that the "can't find"
message sometimes means that the existing files are corrupt or an
unexpected version. How to resolve the issue is something Nero tech support
will need to help with.
For the second problem, this symptom usually means that an entry in one of
the registry's Run keys is incorrect. Most often it is a long file name
that has not been properly enclosed in quotes.
Example: L:\Long Folder Name\File name with spaces.exe
should read "L:\Long Folder Name\File name with spaces.exe"
in the registry key.
When Windows loads, it processes the Run Keys. It cannot finish following
the path to the target file so it pops up an Explorer window opened to the
point where it could no longer follow the path. In this case, the
Windows\System32 folder. Fixing the offending entry stops this from
happening.

Hiya
For the Nero question, I can't copy/paste the link as Nero won't let me, but
this is what I've found:
This is a common error message when you have a corrupted download. This can be
caused by Firewall or Anti-Virus protection. Please disabled these first, and
then download and install our latest releases of our software. You may want to
download from another system and then bring over to your system and install.
So, disable the above just for this purpose. Then, go here as normal:
http://www.nero.com/nero6/eng/Updates.html
And download and install the updates. Make sure to re-enable the
virus/firewall scanners afterwards.
Regards
