hello there,

i am having a rather frustrating problem with MSN Messenger:

everytime i try to load and sign into MSN, i get through the sign in process
fine, MSN loads, i can access people's profiles, change my name etc. but if i
try to load a conversation window with anyone, the conversation will open on
the left hand size of my screen, two thirds of the size it is meant to be. if
i try to click this conversation, to type or change it's size, the
conversation instantly crashes, Messenger follows it quickly.

i have no idea what is causing this, i have tried uninstalling and
reinstalling MSN. i have downstepped to MSN 7, and the problem reoccurs. any
help on this would be most appreciated
