Hi, please can someone tell me, i have put in a new black ink cartridge but
the shop said the colour one wont be ready till tomorrow? Anyway my priniter
is totally refusing to print saying the cartridge is missing? surely i can
print with just black, i have gone to properties to change it to print in
black only but it is not in bold letter so wont let me change it??

Many colour printers will not print unless both the colour and black
cartridges are installed. If you have an old colour (empty) cartridge
insert that and it will print in black. With one empty, it will very likely
not print.

Most all printers that have two inks will not print unless they are
BOTH inserted and both good. They sell more ink that way. Four new
cartridges = the price of one new printer. When you buy the new
printer they only fill up the cartridge half way in order to sell more
ink. I refill and found that you can't refill them more than two or
three times then they leak all over the place.
