I've got an HP Scanjet 3000 scanner. With W98se it worked great, bu
when I changed to XP the scanner stopped working and started displayin
different error messages. I searched the HP page and I downloaded th
drivers/software that I needed for XP. The problem is that when
install the drivers the scanner works ok, but as soon as I restart th
computer, it stops working and starts displaying the same error msg
that before. Anybody has heard about this before???

When you reboot/startup it is trying to reinstall the old drivers. Best is to
delete the old drivers, then it will have no choice. They may be hard to
find, so you'll probably need to completely uninstall the scanner including
the software and then reinstall it with the new drivers. The driver name
should have the word TWAIN in it.
