no, you have to use an analog conversion device between them... the Analog
Video Capture section of my site has some pointers

I use a TV tuner card to transmit my old analog tapes (VHS, 8mm, etc.) to my
computer for burning to DVD. I use the Hauppauge WinTV card and find it
works remarkably well for this function.

If you don't want to do any editing, then I'd recommend a dvd recorder, plug
the vhs into it and record away. Very easy, no imagination required.
Now if you want to get all fancy, then use the above suggestions.
Items to look at, although many people capture well using cheaper analogue
solutions, you can get out of sync audio and video, you can read it here
many times. To get the best you need to buy quality equipment, I recommend
using the canopus or miglia units.
