First user to login gets two-sided printing dialog window on |
|
|
Recently installed HP 5650 printer on XP Home (SP2) system with multiple
user accounts.
When using the manual two-sided printing option, the associated dialog
window (explaining how to turn the paper and pausing until paper has been
turned) always gets sent to the first user who logged in since the last
boot. This behaviour is consistent, and not affected by which users have
Admin or Limited privileges.
For example, if John logged in first that day, and then Mary tries to print
a two-sided document, the two-page dialog can only be seen by flipping to
John's account. Not an ideal workaround :-)
Is this a printer software problem, an XP problem, a configuration issue,
.... any ideas?

You will need to ask HP. Normally this is caused when the driver assumes
that there is only one logon session.
