I use several digital cameras and have to download lots of business photos to
PC. The XP wizard-thing that pops up when I plug in one of the camera's (via
USB cables) - and asks, " what do I want to do", has sort of spoiled me.
After a bad recent power interuption and re-boot, the wizard-thing no longer
pops up when I attach any one of the four (different make) digital cameras???

All else works fine. In fact all digi-file downloads via oem camera
software, third party (MS-0ffice/Camedia/Paint Shop Pro, etc), or manual
still works just fine from & to all four camera's. (Canon, 2-Olympus & a
Kodak). It's just the automatic download Wizard-thing (and it's handy
"mystery" photo viewer) that has disappeared!?!

Help Please.

I have the same problem. I recently moved from terra. es to France wanadoo
and that is when the trouble started. If I do 'restaurar sistema' to the
pre-wanadoo state, the wizard works. Wanadoo say this is a windows problem.

Hello,

To reset the autoplay settings, open My Computer and right-click the drive
you wish to change (you'll need to plug in the camera first). Clck the
AutoPlay tab, change the dropdown to the type of file you wish to change,
then select the action to perform. Conversely, you can check the "prompt me
each time" item to make it ask you each time you plug in that camera.

Let us know how that goes.

Thanks,
Gregg Rivers [MSFT]
