ndcfwchg error "#7" |
|
|
I am using the ndcfwchg utility from SanDisk. I am running from a DOS
6.22 floppy disk. I have the CF installed in Secondary IDE port and
configure as the master.
I am typing the following command
ndcfwchg /S /F
I get the following response:
NAND ID Drive Configuration Word (Fixed / Removable) Change Utility
Version 1.2
SanDisk SDCCFB-1024
1mB 0719
Fail (error #7)
If you have any advice to remedy this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Paul,
Is is a new CF from Sandisk?
I guess then you will need to use atcfwchg utility instead.

Yes. It is a new flash disk. Thanks for the info. I will contact
SanDisk.

I was able to get the new utility (atcfwchg). The utility can see the
card (it reports the model number) but now I am getting (error #0) and
(errror #1)
I am using the inexpensive model of the Sand Disk 1GB card. Does the
utlity work on all SanDisk models?

Paul,
IIRC, you will have some problems using the new utility with old Sandisk cards.
I'd suggest you to keep both utilities.
