No audio with capture |
|
|
It has been a long slow process, but I am getting closer to creating my own
movie thanks to the help I have received so far on this site. I am using
Windows MovieMaker to capture video from my Sony DV Handycam using a firewire
cable but I am not getting any audio when replaying on the preview screen.
Do I need to do an extra step to import the audio aswell? I have had a quick
look at other posts but I can't seem to find a solution to this. Thanks in
advance. |

You should get audio at the same time.
What settings did you pick to capture the movie as? It's best to have
dv-avi.
Also try the simple things, speakers are turned on?

Graham and Tina,
I have been hvaing the same issue, except when I import a clip from my HI8,
I get the sound from the clip, when the file saves and coverts to a movie
file, the sound drops off. Any suggestions?

Can you add a few more details please.
How are you connecting, how are you capturing, what do you save the capture
as (file type) when does the sound drop off? When importing the video to the
time line, when saving the movie as a dv-avi or wmv file?

Graham
I have a JVC camcorder, I have not problem capturing the video, however the
sound is not captured. I don't know what the "Audio Input Source" should be
set on. If you could help me that would be great.

Carol,
How are you connecting the camcorder to the computer?
If it's a digital camcorder you need to use firewire.
If it's an analogue cam, then it's best to use a proper analogue to digital
converter, some reviewed here
