Without warning I can not start Windows XP. Get message"We apologize but
Windows did not start up. Choose one of the following options" I choose all
of the options including safe start-up but after trying to start up I am
returned to the same "We apologise..." screen. Is my hard drive gone
bade??

If all attempts and possibilities do not work - why would you thing the
harddrive is bad? It is the operating system that appears to not be working.

Boot from the XP CD and try a REPAIR install to see if that will fix your
problem.
