Audio controls not working in MCE 2005

Everything was working fine, then all of the sudden the audio controls on the
MCE window and remote don't work. Also, the mute button on the remote
doesn't work either. The controls and remote on the extender I am using in
another room do work. I tried the remote from the PC on the extender and it
works fine.

Any ideas???
