I bought my computer about a month ago. I thought it was
media center 2004. The only reason that I can remember
deciding this is because I cannot watch a program while
watching another. Now I reallize that this could be
because of the graphics card that I have. I just
happened to look at the literature ythat came with this
and one of the manuals says 2005.

where can i find out and what are the other differences??

Open the Media Center application and go to
Settings -> General -> About Media Center.

The ability to record a program while watching
another has nothing to do with your graphics
card. You simply need two TV tuners (either
two single-tuner cards, or one dual-tuner card).

Just because you may have MCE 2005 does not mean that you can record two
programmes at once. to do this you need 2 tv tuner cards. Only MCE 2005 has
the ability to have 2 tuner cards
