Re: Looking For Advice on Portable Center |

According to the review in the latest Wired magazine, where it gets 3.5
stars out of 5:
"Plays MPEG-4 and DivX files ... No Media Center PC required. Not as easy to
use as Windows-based players. Battery life less than 3 hours for video."
It doesn't actually say that it can use the files produced by Media Center.
Out of the 4 systems reviewed, the Creative Zen gets the highest rating. And
has a 7-hour battery life for video. You might also want to ask on the
microsoft.public.windows.mediacenter.portable newsgroup.

Archos 500619 AV420 20 GB Video Player / Recorder and MP3 Jukebox
Player the best as far as capabilities. I'd like to hear from anyone
who has experience with this.
In particular I want to know if it comes with a rechargeable
battery--no where does it tell me that.
Also, is it compatible with the Windows Media Player 10 and other
Windows XP programs?
