I had to reinstall my windows xp this morning.
Afterwards, i played an audio file and found that my
audio doesnt work.
Under sound properties, volumn, it says i have no audio
device, therefore i cant change anything, volumn etc.
When i play a program event sound under sounds, it says
windows cannot play, sound card may be in use.

How come my audio doesnt work after i reinstall windows,
and what do i do to solve this problem. Thank you.

Try Removing The Sound Card From Device Manager And
Rebooting The System. The Windows Should Find The New
Hardware. Also Try Using The Control Panels Add New
Hardware. These Are Two Things That May Be Of Help If You
Have Not Already Tried Them.

you may also try reinstalling the driver and applicable software for your
sound card.
