Toolbar keeps popping up |
|
|
I'm currently using MCE2005. I havn't made any significant changes other than
switching from "clone" display mode on my nvidia FX5200 to "dualview".
After I did this (not sure if this caused it - or it was just a
coincidence), while watching TV the toolbar keep popping up, like I moved the
mouse - which I didn't do. I can press a button on the remote, and it goes
away, only to reappear in another 4 - 8 (usually right around 5) seconds.
I've switched back to "clone" mode, but the behavior continues.
Anybody experience this, or know of a solution?
Thanks,

Thanks Mashman... Since updating to MCE 2005 I could not get the toolbar to
disappear. It was up all the time. I was not using the remote, so I tried
your hint about hitting a key on the remote and that did cause the toobar to
hide itself. This had been very annoying. Thanks.
As for your toolbar popping up; if you happen to have a wireless mouse, you
may want to watch the IR signal receiver to see if it is lighting up due to
receiving a stray/false signal possibly from another component in the room. I
had a problem like this with the IR receiver on my CD player which would
periodically change tracks due to a stray signal in the room. I corrected
this by adjusting the location of the IR receiver. I never did find out what
was causing the stray signal. Hope this might help.
