"Editing a Recording..? |
|
|
Hello,
I'm new to Windows Media Center 2K5... I took the upgrade when I purchased
my brand new 30 day old HP ZD8000 notebook... "Damn Sweet Lem'me Tell'ya..."
Anyway. With everything that seems to be along for the ride with WMC2K5 I
haven't seemed to have been able to find any kind of "Editing" capabilities
when it comes, for my main example, "Trying to remove the Commercials from
recorded sessions of LiveTV that I would like to, for example, burn to DVD...?
If there are no Editing capabilities within WMC2K5 than could someone by
chance an aftermarket program that would work with the format thats being
used by WMC2K5..?
Thanks for your time... |

I've used Nero 6 and I don't recall it having the ability to take a "DVR
recording" via my HP Duel TV-Tuner card & Media Center 2k5... And I'll have
to look into PowerDirector...

Yes Nero ultra edition allows burning to DVD. Also I have
found the program called "click to DVD" is the best and
also it is the easiest to use for removing the
commercials. Very simple and clear understanding. Also
this program shrinks the burning of large movies to DVD.
You can shrink a 2 hour movie to place two of them on a
4.7 GB DVD. |

KDS, would you mind explaining the steps that "Click to DVD" require for you
to open the MS-DVR file, edit the commercials out, and burn to a playable
DVD? I am trying many different apps and configs, and when I am through, I
am going to post an easy "How to" of sorts. Also, could you include how long
the process takes?
Much appreciated!

Ok, I just went and did a search for the "Click to DVD" software and I've
found that it comes with the Sony Vios computers and the only downloads I
could find on Sony's site was for an "upgrade" which requires the original
version prior to upgrading... And where by I have an HP notebook... well you
can see were I'm going with this... "Where do I find a downloadable full
version of the original software, "Click to DVD"..?
Thanks...

Earlier versions of Nero 6 could not import dvr-ms files. The latest version
can.
