I am "Still in the dark" and would like to have clarififcation. Running MCE
2005 I can or can not hook up DirecTV as my signal source.
If the answer is "Yes" please explain how to do this.

Also - I understand that the HDTV signal from DirecTV can not be "used" by
MCE 2005 - that (HDTV) signal must be OTA only - is this correct?

Thanks in advance for any and all help

Barb Bowman has written an excellent guide to using two set top boxes which
should answer your questions (I know that you probably only have one DirecTV STB
but the principle is the same:-)

Yes & no. You can take an SDTV signal via s-video from the HDTV DirectTV box but
of course you lose the quality. You can also add an ATI HDTV Wonder card to an
MCE system to receive HDTV OTA. You get the quality but have far fewer stations.
