I discovered something last eve. I have a Sony RA710G with Media Center 2004
(and YAY! Sony is providing an upgrade to MCE 2005 in Feb!!!). From the
desk-top, I opened Guide with the remote (without going into Media Center
first). I wanted to tape an episode of "Reba" to see if it would work.
Well...it didn't. I was perplexed. So I ran the usual experiements today to
see what was the problem. I taped a show from within MC. My computer is set
to screen-save after 10, monitor shut-off after 15 and stand-by after 20.
That worked okay and the computer went into syand-by after the show was
taped! I then proceeded to try tape another show from the guide with entering
MC first. The show taped (is taping as I type on my laptop) but the computer
did not enter stand-by after the usual time after I set to tape? Is this
something that is peculiar to my computer or is it a trait of taping from the
"Guide" without eneter MC first?
