When I choose to play a video (a divx or xvid, so it uses a relatively high
amount of CPU time), and then go back to the folder view, everything becomes
horribly slow.

The problem is, the video still plays in the background, and MCE is trying
to find thumbnails for the other videos at the same time. On top of that, I
still want to be able to navigate through the folders, but every push on a
button gives a 1~2 second delay.

My MCE box is a P4-2.80GHz with 512MB. Video card is an onboard Radeon
9100IGP with 64MB. I hope that's enough...

I guess MS can solve this by a combination of any of these solutions:

*) MCE shouldn't load thumbnails when a video is playing
*) MCE should cache the thumbnails (doesn't seem to be happening)
*) The background video should go to idle priority
*) Loading thumbnails should always be lowest possible priority
*) It should be possible to disable thumbnails alltogether

I hope this gets fixed in the next update of MCE :)
