Hmm, I'd have been waiting a long time. It's not going to be on
FreeView for the time being, only cable/sky.
yeah, but when it arrives, you'll know because you'll have to reprogram all |

Sorry Chris but 2 weeks, whether in the pipeline, or whether they didn't
stick, or any other reason, is too long to be without guide data. You must
remember we not only paid for the MCE machines, we also pay the cable
operator for channels we cannot view or record.
Some of the channel errors (such as the Living TV channels) were reported
two months ago. These are aside from the one example you gave.
One item being overlooked for a fix, I can forgive.
Eight, sorry, no.
I don't think we will reach agreement on this. Despite dozens of unhappy
customers in this thread, you don't seem to see things from the customer
perspective, which is a real shame.
I have tried to see your side, and will continue to work with you on
reporting any errors.

Hi CJ,
If you read the process, they did enter the corrections before you sent
them e-mail but for some reason it didn't come across and "stick".
When
that became known it was again addressed with BDS and they investigated
the
cause of that and corrected it. This permitted the information to
"stick"
as expected and the bug to be verified as fixed by a tester.

This may be old news but FWIW, having now reconfigured my TV settings

This is on Telewest digital in the UK. More4 appears on channel 142.
In fact this is the first time I've not had a single error in the guide.
All I had to do was remove channels to which I don't subscribe, which is
fair enough.

Toby, see my other posts in this thread - I brought this about by e-mailing
BDS directly with the 8-10 channels that were not appearing or had wrong
data or channels. All were fixed within 24 hours after my e-mailing my
contact there. Glad it's helped you as well.

Just to keep this thread alive for those of us on the Sky platform:
Still no listings for more4.
Still no listings for Challenge+1
Still no listings for Paramount Comedy+1
Discovery Real Time+1 still listed as Home & Leisure+1
Still no listings for Discovery Real Time Extra
No listings for FX
No listings for FX+2
I guess we should be grateful that the channels are getting listed with the
right numbers (mostly), but the lack of listings continues to be unacceptable.
And then there is the imminent arrival of Sky 3, renaming Sky Mix to Sky 2,
and the arrival of ITV 4.
I wonder what are the odds of them turning up in the EPG?

FX is there but listed under its old channel number of 289 instead of
270, as it has been for several months. You can edit the channel
number so that scheduled recordings change channel correctly.

There are two more major launches of new TV channels in the UK next week (Sky3 &
ITV4) on the Sky platform these are on channels 108 & 120 respectively.
Digiguide already has listings for Sky3 but as yet there is no sign of these
channels in the MCE EPG.
Any bets on whether the More4 debacle will be repeated?

Well 3 weeks after more4 launched there are still no listings in the MCE EPG
for Sky customers. so frankly I would say that a continued cockup is a
certainty!

Again, I would ask why both TiVo and Digiguide manage to get these things
right without being told by their customers.
The quality of the response to problems is lamentable!

I have More4 on my Sky MCE EPG. It's been there for a week or more.

I am not surprised to see that Sky3 is now broadcasting & there is no entry in
the MCE EPG. ITV4 starts tomorrow & again there is no entry in the EPG.
Digiguide has the data. It seems pretty likely that BDS would have the data so
why doesn't Microsoft have this data ready to download to our EPGs?
I'll log a problem on the web site but I have no confidence that anybody pays
any attention to these issues. Chris Hill of Microsoft seems to have ducked for
cover & hasn't posted here for a while. I wonder why?

Probably because all future problems discovered with the guide data
will be explained as "due to legal matters" and that'll be the end of
that.
It seems pretty clear to me that MS is entirely complacent about the
delivery of MCE to the UK market place and is quite happy to have us
share that information with the world.
It amazes me that Gipsymedia can negotiate contracts to supply data
that MS are unable to. Perhaps MS lawyers are all tied up with
antitrust suits or too busy testing Xbox 360 consoles.

Mine still says Sky Travel, though the programme is clearly Sky3 now.

I've been holding off doing a re-scan since someone told me that the
EPG should automatically pick up new programs - something I've never
seen evidence of before and still haven't now. If it doesn't
autmagically appear tomorrow I'll try a re-scan.
