Re: Stop Live TV? |

The only easier way is to just shut down the
Media Center application.
The "Stop Live TV" function has been flawed since
day one, IMHO. Others (including myself) have
suggested alternatives, but so far no changes have
been made. This is what I think it should do.
1. Press STOP while watching Live TV, but not
recording it: Stop the viewer, stop
recording to the stream buffer, and
return to the My TV menu (without that small
annoying stopped TV screen in the corner).
2. Press STOP while watching Live TV, and
also recording it: Stop the viewer, and
pop up a dialog box to allow the user to
optionally stop the recording too. Default
selected button to "continue recording".
Then return to the My TV menu. That pop-up
dialog should also be able to be disabled
in the TV settings.

when you just hit the stop button while watching live TV MCE continues to
buffer the last 30 minutes of whatever is playing continually. Going to
another function like starting to listen to music and then stopping that
seems to stop it, but there has to be an easier way to just tell it "I'm
done"...
