Gateway 825GM Windows MCE 2005 DVD-RW burning issues |

I have a Gateway 825GM that I used the Windows Media Center Edition
2005 to record last night's Galactica episode.
Looks like it recorded the episode okay, but I have been unable to copy
it to a rewritable DVD.
It won't accept at DVD+RW at all and it records to DVD-RW but then
comes up "there was a recording error".
It DOES record to DVD-R and that disc was playable on my stand-alone
JVC DVD recorder.
Has anyone else seen problems with this?
