There are way too many options for video cards. Can someone suggest a video
card that works best for Capturing TV and playing DVD's

TV is not HD ready yet. but I should plan on it.

Hi, I work at a friendly computer shop in Peoria, Illinois. We have been
experimenting w/ Media Center lately and have come to love the eVGA NVTV TV
tuner card. Performs amazingly compared to the ATI capture card and even the
Happauge. Better yet we sell them for roughly 70$.
To my knowledge, it is the best bang for the buck when it comes to capture
cards. When it comes to actual video cards, just get something in the "new"
lines(geforce6, etc). They have some cool features built in that can be
utilized in Media Center. There are usually a 100$ model, a 200$ model, and
the "enthusiast" model. Just get what level you think you will use. If you
dont play any newer 3d games the 100$ card will be more than adequate.
