Anybody experience a similar problem with a program from Nikon, Nikon View.

I have a Nikon Coolpix 8700 SLR camera.Trying to transfer pictures to my
computer when camera connected to USB port and turned on selecting MS
Scanner and Camera Wizard transfer works fine. If I choose the nikon
program from the wizard or transfer from the Nikon View program I get error
messages, no card in camera, no connection between camera and computer.
Tried every solution including un-installing and installing program with no
help. Anybody experience a similar problem with Nikon or other SLR camera.

Appreciate any comments. Thanks.

I would just use a card reader.

To all who need help regarding Nikon CoolPix 8700 camera. My solution was
downloading and installing Nikon View updater 6.2.5 and 6.2.6. Some CF cards
don't work with Nikon cameras. Check Nikon site for approved Cards.
