hey, i'm trying to help my mom with her computer. she has windows xp media
center it came with her computer.. it's part of the computer, and it promted
her to create disks for it.. well we have kids running around all the time,
and she wasn't smart enough to write what they are on the disks that she
copied it to.. so she lost them.. i was wondering if there's anything i can
do on the computer, so i can copy them from the computer again.. i can verify
our computer information if it's needed.

All you need to do is go to Start , All Programs, PC Help and
Tools, HP PC Recovery cd/dvd creator and follow the prompts. This time you
had bettter label em.

Unless someone comes up with a work-around for you,
I recommend calling HP Support. Describe your problem,
and they may be willing to send you a set of recovery
CDs.

They did that for me a couple years ago. I'm not sure
what their policy is today. Here's the info you need:
