HDTV Wonder rewind problem

When I rewind a prerecorderd DTV program and press play.
1) I get no sound.
2) After about 5 seconds - "No Tuner card installed" message.

If a stop then resume - then all is OK.

Every other aspect of the system is OK.
Has anyone else been able to observe or solve this problem?

I have the following hardware:

Intel D865GRH motherboard
P4 3.0Ghz
512RAM
120G 7200 RPM Hard Drive
Powercolor ATI 9600 pro video
HDTV Wonder
eVGA NNTV single tuner card
using InterVideo Windvd 6 for DVD decoder
