XP Media Center compared to XP Professional |

Getting a new computer for a small business with future networking needs,
found a good deal on one with XP Media Center.
Is Media Center an upgrade of XP Pro?
Or is it just XP Home with some tweaks?
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. |

It's built upon XP Pro, but with a couple "professional" networking
features disabled -- domain joining, and login credentials manager.

will that hurt me when I network the computer?

Unless your PC needs to be a member of a domain
on a corporate network, it really shouldn't effect you
at all.
There are lots of good resources on the web where
you can learn about home networking. Google is
your friend. You might want to start here:
