Problem sometimes playing mpegs... |
|
|
I have loaded about 15 mpegs onto my MCE 2005 system... Everything works fine
most of the time... But for some reason, once in a while, MCE won't play the
mpeg... it loads it (i can see the lenght of the movie when i press ff) but
nothing plays, the screen remains black and the movie time counter does'nt
advance) To remedy this, I need to click the live tv button on the media
center remote wait to see a live tv picture, then go back and select the
movie to watch, and everything works fine.... Anyone else have something
like this happen or know what it might be? I have the latest ati drivers and
the codec im using is windvd 5.01. |

I have a bit of a similar problem. I have a big video library of MP2 and MP4
files. Often, at the end of playback, I hit the back button to pick another
video, and the machine just sits there, with the little wheel spinning.
Sometimes it comes back in a minute or two, often it only comes back when I
minimize MCE and change the size. Sometimes it also just spins and does
nothing when selecting a video.
It blows my mind that its so difficult to MCE to just simply play a video!
Putting a 10 foot UI with a remote control on top of Windows shouldn't make
it hard to just simply play content!
