Or perhaps get the USB 2 tuner which is the same as the 250 PVR I believe.

Pros and cons of which one to add to a white box MCE2005 would be
appreciated.

I favour the USB 2 tuner as it's portable and could be plugged into a laptop
plus it has the tuner... which comes with the TV 250 PVR as well but not the
MCE version.

Anyone?

TIA.

Have you looked at this matrix? I think it
should should give you all the info you need.

BTW, the remote control that's included with
the PVR-250 and PVR-USB2 is not compatible
with MCE.

Thanks Bob!

So... the remote will control the TV portion of the card then only.

I see none of these cards has a an output to a TV... does that mean I have
to get a video card that has a TV output?

So... as this is a white box MCE2005, I can purchase a MCE remote and it
will work OK?

TIA.

I haven't used it myself, but I believe the remote works
with Happauge's own WinTV software (or whatever its called).

Correct. The official list of supported cards is here:

Yes. You need to purchase an MCE remote, IR receiver, and IR emitter.
Here's an example:

Great info Bob; pity Newegg doesn't ship to Canada though... <VBG>...

Have found another place that does... surprising how few local outlets are
carrying this.
