I was successfully able to down load movies for a year to my camcorder by way
of the firewire, but suddenly, it began taking a long time to save the movies
and they were running in slow motion when I played them back on the camera
and the sound was garbled. I tried using another camera and the same thing
occured. I had my memory size increased and the same thing is occuring. I
also tried to save it to the hard drive and view it on my Media Player but it
is doing the same thing. I am very frustrated. Any suggestions? The movie
is only about 15 minutes long.

Well I'm not an expert on video capturing since I actually just bought my
digital camcorder a week ago.
Before that I relied on my digital camera that records 5 minutes of video
footage at a time and puts it on a CD. But I'll give it a shot anyhow.
Could be a bad firewire cable but more likely a tape problem.
Are you reusing a tape again and again after capturing to the computer?

If you're saving the movies as a certain file type, I might be able to help.
If you save it as AVI, it tends to do that. Mine do, anyway, so I gotta
encode them to WMVs via Windows Media Encoder. Try that, and then send the
WMV to your camera.

Did you ever get this to work. I'm experiencing the same problem with my AVI
video suddenly playing only in slow motion, with the audio running even
slower. If I transfer the file as a WMV I don't have that problem, but I
don't get nearly as good of quality either. I defragged my harddrive and
dropped a number of processes from memory and have had no luck. I hope you
were able to figure this out...
