Storyboard won't accept clips |
|
|
I capture video (and audio) from my camcorder onto my laptop via my DV 1394
cable. After the entire video sequence has been saved, I “stop capture,”
and it saves as a 3.9M .avi file. Then, I try to open the file with Windows
Movie Maker 2, and I get an error message that it “is not a valid Windows
Movie Maker project file,” and am instructed to import it into Collections.
When I try, through File and Import to Collections, I’m told it “could not be
imported. Unspecified error.” The collections scrolling window does not
list the captured video.
But, when I exit the program and execute it again, the video file now
appears in Collections. I right click on the file icon and “create clips.”
Then, I’m ready to add clips to the Storyboard, so each can be edited. Only,
when I drag the video clip icon onto the Storyboard, nothing appears. Same
if I try to drag it onto the Timeline. The clip icons stay in the
Collections window, and the Storyboard stays blank. |
