I have created a still picture show but cannot get the audio to import. I
keep getting a message that states that the file that I am trying to access
is empty. I don't understand what that means as I have burned cd's with
these songs and played them on windows media player. I even tried to capture
audio from a cd that i Purchased, but then i received a message indicating
that the file was not in the correct format. Can anyone please help me?

It would be extraordinarly helpful to actually offer some details about
your problem file. Name? Type? (file extention), size, whether you can
play it with other applications (like Media Player, etc.)

Well the original post does say the file played on Media Player (You didn't
quote the entire post) but other than that I agree with you.

I have tried several MP3 files, I have also converted mp3 files to wav files,
still no luck. All of my files play with media player on my computer. I
have also burned these files onto audio cd's with no problem. I just don't
understand what "empty file" means. Any help is appreciated.

I am having exactly the same trouble and I notice that quite a few others are
as well. Why can't anyone offer a solution. Is there a problem with Movie
maker or are we all doing something wrong???? Please can someone help.

Is below your problem? If so, it sounds like you are trying to use copy
protected music, it will be if it's abought cd, which it is illegal to use
this music other than for listening to, so they make it as hard as possilbe
for you to do the likes of adding it to a movie. No fault of MM.
